Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes Reportedly Call It Quits Once Again After Their Reunion at Coachella

Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello Reportedly Break Up Again Following Coachella Reunion

According to a source from, Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello have decided to end their relationship once again after reuniting at Coachella in April. The source revealed that the singers gave their romance another shot, but ultimately realized that the timing wasn't right for either of them. Currently, both of them are said to be keeping busy and focusing on their individual pursuits. POPSUGAR reached out to representatives for Cabello and Mendes, but there has been no immediate response.

Fans of Cabello and Mendes are now left wondering if this breakup will be the final one. The couple's relationship traces back to 2014 when they first met and became close friends while on tour with Austin Mahone. Although fans recognized their undeniable chemistry from the beginning, they remained friends and dated other people over the years. They collaborated on two successful songs, "I Know What You Did Last Summer" in 2015 and "Señorita" in 2019. Finally, in 2019, they officially began dating, with Mendes admitting that he had always been in love with Cabello.

Mendes opened up about his feelings in an interview with Access Hollywood in December 2020, saying, "It takes a lot of courage to tell the woman that you love that you love her. I had five years of fear of getting rejected by her that just stopped me from doing it every time, or just confidence. It just took a lot. It took a long time of preparing. I had a five-year warm-up to finally be able to tell her how I felt."

After two years together, Cabello and Mendes called it quits in November 2021. Cabello then entered a relationship with Austin Kevitch in 2022, while Mendes was briefly linked to Sabrina Carpenter, although they never officially dated.

By early 2023, the singers behind "Señorita" had reconnected. The source revealed that they had been talking and spending time together for months prior to their Coachella reunion. "Camila and Shawn were talking and spending time together for months before Coachella," the source said. "They always had a lot of love for each other, even while they were broken up. They still care about each other."

While this recent breakup seems final, given their history, fans will likely hold out hope for another reunion in the future.
