Tenoch Huerta Drops Out of Netflix Movie ‘Fiesta en la Madriguera’ After Sexual Assault Allegation

Tenoch Huerta, known for his role in "Black Panther 2," has stepped down from his involvement in the upcoming Netflix movie "Fiesta en la Madriguera" following an allegation of sexual assault.

In a statement provided to Variety, Huerta confirmed the news, expressing, "Considering the significant impact of the recent false accusations made by María Elena Ríos and the subsequent harm they have caused, I have regrettably decided to withdraw from participating in the film 'Fiesta en la Madriguera.' It saddens me deeply to take this step, but I cannot allow her actions to jeopardize not only my reputation but also the efforts of numerous talented and hardworking individuals associated with the project. My focus now is straightforward: to continue the process of restoring my good name."

Ríos publicly accused Huerta of sexual assault in a series of tweets, labeling him as a "sexual predator."

The actor had previously refuted the allegation, categorizing her account as "false and entirely unsupported," and stressed that he could no longer remain silent.

"Around a year ago, I was involved in a consensual relationship with Elena for several months," Huerta stated. "It was a relationship characterized by love, warmth, and mutual support, as attested by numerous individuals. However, following its conclusion, Elena began to distort our interactions, both privately and in front of our shared friends."

Directed by Manolo Caro and written by Nicolás Giacobone, "Fiesta en la Madriguera" features a cast including Raúl Briones, Teresa Ruiz, Alfredo Gatica, Mercedes Hernández, Pierre Louis, and Lizeth Selene.
