Tom Schwartz Expresses Fear Over Filming Upcoming Season of 'Vanderpump Rules'

Tom Schwartz Expresses Fear Over Filming New Season of 'Vanderpump Rules': 'We're a Volatile Crew'

Tom Schwartz, a cast member of the reality show "Vanderpump Rules," has admitted feeling "terrified" about the upcoming filming of Season 11. This apprehension follows the backlash he faced over his involvement in Tom Sandoval's affair with Raquel Leviss.

In an interview with Us Weekly, the 40-year-old Schwartz revealed, "I'm always slightly terrified when we start a new season. We've been through so much with this group, and we're a volatile crew. We've always been a volatile group of friends. I don't think I've ever had an argument outside of this group, to be honest. We have a lot of history together, and there have been trials and tribulations, but it comes from a place of love."

Despite his concerns, Schwartz expressed gratitude for still being part of the Bravo show. Although it appears he will return for his 11th season, contract renegotiations for the cast have been temporarily put on hold, as executive producer Alex Baskin stated in a previous interview with Variety. The main challenge lies not only in getting the current cast to re-sign but also in ensuring they can film together without excessive conflict.

The scandal surrounding Sandoval's months-long affair with Leviss was exposed in March after Ariana Madix discovered a sexually explicit video of Leviss on Sandoval's phone. The revelation, known as the "Scandoval" affair, sparked a wave of internet frenzy, with Madix receiving widespread support.

Schwartz faced criticism at the time for knowing about the affair but choosing to keep it secret to support his best friend. However, it seems the strain caused by the drama has taken a toll on their friendship. In a recent interview on "When Reality Hits with Jax and Brittany," Schwartz revealed that he has been distancing himself from Sandoval, stating, "He made a big mess and left it for us to clean up. It's hard for me not to be resentful of him... I'm taking a break from Tom right now."

As they prepare for the upcoming season, Schwartz stated that he will adopt a more stoic approach to handling the drama. During the Season 10 reunion, which was filmed shortly after news of the affair broke, the entire "Vanderpump Rules" cast unleashed their anger towards the adulterous duo. Madix even referred to Leviss as "subhuman" and Sandoval as a "rat."

Following the reunion, Leviss had a one-on-one interview with producers to address several lies that she and Sandoval had maintained. She confessed that they had actually hooked up "multiple" times, including at co-star Scheana Shay's wedding in late August, where she also kissed Schwartz. Furthermore, Leviss revealed that they had engaged in sexual encounters at Sandoval's shared home with Madix while she was away for her grandmother's funeral, despite vehemently denying it during the reunion.
